Sin and Shame
Here is what I was thinking:
Faith is a funny thing. We claim it. We compare it. We share it and we shame it. Yes, I said, “we shame it.” It may not be what you are shooting for but others often shame people from their point of faith. I can tell you from my experience – on both sides of the coin – you just have to be strong. You have to show courage when you don’t want to.
Instead of being afraid, condescending or judgmental, when in doubt, we should instead recognize it as a valid thought or emotion. Doubt is usually expressed in the aftermath of crisis, in pain and with great fear of the future.
What I know for sure:
We must know misery to identify times of elation. The key is to focus on the good. May you live each moment of your life conscientiously and realize that all of the happiness you seek is present if you are prepared to notice it. If you are willing to appreciate that this moment is far better than it could have been, you will enjoy it for what it truly is.
Since love and happiness are born out of your willingness to be valuable, be open to something wonderful and allow others to do the same.
