Here is what I was thinking:
I believe there is always a lesson to be learned when there is a gathering of more than two people. The number one stated problem area among people is communication. We don’t communicate very well.
Positive communication boils down to three essential elements: attitude, skill and desire.
Attitude refers to your sentiment toward the other person. It dictates how we act.
Skill refers to your ability to communicate directly and clearly, manage differences, negotiate solutions and solve problems together.
Desire refers to your intentions.
Good communication is a skill and a tool and good tools can make a task much easier to accomplish.
In the hands of a good skilled cabinetmaker that sets out to create a beautiful piece of furniture, a hammer can be an important tool. In the hands of someone with unkind intentions, it can quickly become a weapon.
When you are committed to a caring attitude and heartfelt desire, it will make it easier to communicate.
